Recitals at The Southbury Music Studio
Recitals are an excellent way to motivate students to practice for performance. It is also a great way for students to show their family and friends their progress and skills from their hard work along with having fun! The studio puts on 2 recitals a year. Usually we hold a holiday recital in December and another recital in the Spring May/June. Students love listening to other students perform as well as enjoy playing for a small audience themselves. Students of any age or ability level are welcome to participate in our recitals. It is not required that students participate but always encouraged. Typically recitals are held in Danbury at Western CT State University Performing Arts Center. Recitals are limited to a certain number of performers per section time to keep the performance time to under one hour per section.
