Renting a musical instrument is the most cost effective option for new players, in Southbury, CT.
In our opinion, one of the greatest advantages of renting a musical instrument is lower costs upfront. Southbury Music Studio is the best place around to get YOUR musical instruments. Your student musician may be new to playing a musical instrument. We work with adult students as well and children. From youth to adult, good quality instruments make for a better player-experience. We also understand that musical instruments can be an investment. When you rent your instrument with The Southbury Music Studio, you get the following advantages:
Reasonable Pricing:
When you rent a musical instrument the upfront cost is lower. Plain & simple. All of our rental instruments are high quality instruments. All of our rental programs include an automatic rent to own program.
Try Before You Buy
Maybe you’re interested in a brass or stringed instrument. But you’re not sure which one. Our simple month to month rental system will allow for only a month long rental commitment. You can change and try a new instrument at any time.
Your Kids are Still Growing:
Renting a musical instrument means your child doesn’t have to handle an instrument that’s too big. We understand you may want them to play their whole academic career and beyond. Sizing and renting the proper musical instrument will help them do that. Students should grow with their instrument. Owning a 1/4 size violin that your child will outgrow doesn’t make sense. The Southbury Music Studio rental program allows students to rent an instrument and size up as they grow with no extra cost.
Quality Counts:
We understand you may not go for a top-of-the-line instrument for your elementary-grade student. But quality still counts. Less costly instruments can have a negative-impact on the player’s experience. Beginning to learn a musical instrument requires practice and a musical instrument rental that “fights the player” is less fun to play and practice with. Bad quality instruments will also be more challenging to play and could frustrate a new player easily and discourage them from playing. Renting a musical instrument allows you to take home something of quality today and plan for the future.
Where do your rentals come from?
Our Rental Instruments are locally owned from The Creative Music Center in Monroe, CT.
What is the advantage of renting a musical instrument?
If you’re not sure whether or not your child is going to commit to an instrument, renting is a very cost effective option. Rental payments range from $27 to $79 per month, depending on the type of instrument your child chooses. The monthly musical instrument rental payment is a fraction of the cost of buying a quality musical instrument outright. Plus, if your child wants to switch to another instrument, and change sizes, you can easily exchange a rental instrument (and carry over your accumulated equity*), as opposed to having to purchase (or rent) a different instrument.
What is your rent-to-own program and how does it work?
Our exclusive rent-to-own program means 100% of your base rental payments (excluding tax and maintenance) are applied towards the purchase of your instrument or any band or orchestra instrument of equal or greater value than the musical instrument you are renting.
Are there any cost effective options if I don't want the month to month rental?
Yes, we do offer a school year special for FIRST time renters only. You pay up front one price for the instrument and get it September through June 15th. The musical instrument can not be returned early for money back and the instrument can not be exchanged.
