Individual Lessons Ensembles and Rock Bands Young Children’s Group Classes
Summer Rock Band Camp 2019.
August 5th-9th. Students would meet daily from 10-1 Monday-Friday, then the concert would be held at 11:00 am Saturday Morning, August 10th. Cost is $325 for the camp.
We are excited to announce that we will be starting our Rock Band Summer ensemble program at the Southbury Music Studio! Rock bands are open to singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists/pianists and whatever other instruments you want to rock out on! Students need to have been playing their instrument for at least 6 months. Ensembles are formed based on the student’s ability and age and also based on scheduling preferences.
Ensemble programs are a great way to supplement a student’s weekly lesson. In addition to learning musical technique, students will work on music collaboration and teamwork while creating music with their peers. Students can also work on their ensemble pieces in their private lessons. Students who are in ensembles are motivated to practice more often because of their responsibility to the group. Each ensemble will meet from 10am-1pm every day, Monday through Friday. The day will be broken up into two parts, with students receiving individualized instruction on their instrument as well as instructor guided practice with their rock band group. At the conclusion of the program, students will perform in a recital to showcase all their hard work!
